Grants and applying for Grants
There are different types of grants that you can apply for and application forms can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.. For example, we do Individual and Club Grants.
Athlete Personal Development Grant
A grant of up to £250 is available for Athlete Personal Development. Only one grant can be awarded in any twelve month period. Funding is available for:
• Attaining a higher standard of performance by competing at a higher level.
• Assisting athletes with travel expenses to higher level competitions. (Entry fees not applicable).
• Assisting internationalists with costs not met by their National Governing Body, any other Sport Trust or Local Authority. (Equipment and/or kit not applicable). Individual Grant Form
George Mortimer Bursary
A grant of £500 will be awarded annually to a final year pupil at a Secondary School in Perth and Kinross, to enable them to continue as an athlete within their sport when moving into further education (either college or university). George Mortimer Bursary
Club Grant / Event Grant
Development Grants of up to £500 are available for either new club start up costs, equipment, or the hosting/running of an event. Only one grant can be awarded in any twelve month period.
Priority will be given to applications that enhance opportunities for children and young people within Perth and Kinross. Club Grant form
Terms and Conditions for Club Grant applications
- The Club should be affiliated to the Sports Council
- Club and Individual members must be affiliated to P&KSC for 6 weeks prior to applying for a grant
- All Sports Clubs affiliated to P&KSC should be accredited through PACES (for more information on registering for PACES please contact LMcConachie@liveactive.co.uk)
- The Club should be recognised by Sports Scotland
Grant Applications will only be considered 14 days before the next Committee Meeting.
Grant Application can take up to 10 weeks to process

George Mortimer Bursary 2021
Was awarded to Jack Ridley. Jack is a former student of Perth High School and was nominated by Sara Baillie. Jack has captained his school team to 2 consecutive quarter final stages of the Scottish Schools Cup. Jack is heading to East Central College, Missouri America to continue his training.

Due to the pandemic no awards were given out in 2020.
George Mortimer Bursary 2019
Was awarded to Rachel Wolecki. Rachel is a former Perth Academy pupil and Sports Ambassador. Rachel was an integral part of her local team Jeanfield Girls, and represented them at age groups, U15s and U17s. Rachel made an appearance for St Johnstone ladies at the age of 15, the youngest ever to do so. Michael Rodger PE teacher at Perth Academy quotes 'Rachel as one of the best footballers I have seen at her age'. Rachel is now studying and training in America, and would like to thank P&KSC for their continuing support through the grants that she has received.
